Capoeira classes in Islington and Kentish Town / Tufnell Park, London, UK

We are running regular capoeira angola classes at Moving Arts Base on Liverpool Road, near Highbury and Islington, or Angel tube stations, and at St Benets Church Hall in Kentish Town / Tufnell Park

Please note that we are closed for summer holidays - the next class will be Monday 8th September

Capoeira classes are held on:

Monday from 7pm to 9pm (excl. bank holidays).

Wednesday 7pm - 7.30pm (percussion & berimbau workshop)
Wednesday 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Capoeira classes are £8 per 2 hour session, or £2 for berimbau workshop.

Everybody is welcome. The atmosphere is friendly and fun. Classes are run by capoeiristas with various experience.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Do I need to book in advance?
No, please turn up as and when you want. It's a good idea to check this website regularly in case a class is cancelled.

Q: What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing. We advise wearing light training shoes that you do not wear outside in the street, for hygeine reasons, and to protect your feet.

Q: Do I need experience?
No, complete beginners are welcome, as are experienced capoeiristas.
